Tucked away in the depths of Cappadocia, the Üzengi Valley is a place of exquisite natural beauty where a wall of rock rises up beside a stream. But this is nature as improved by man, with the wall of rock pierced by a myriad pigeon houses, harking back to the days when pigeon guano provided the manure that kept the vineyards flourishing. The valley lies west of Mustafapaşa on the way (sort of) to İbrahimpaşa.
