SAVON HOTEL, ANTAKYA
On busy Kurtuluş Caddesi, a little further from Antakya town centre than the Liwan and Antik Beyazıt hotels but still within walking distance of most of the main sites, the 43-room Savon (Soap) Hotel is smart, professionally managed and housed in an old soap-factory.
Rooms are arrayed around this central courtyard much like the hans of old, with a restaurant to join them. There’s even a small gift shop where you can buy bars of soap as souvenirs.
The rooms are large and immaculate, the service tip-top and there’s oodles of parking space.
