@goreme1990 Some hope! But wld be nice, I agree.
At the very top of the pretty Aegean village of Şirince is the Nişanyan Hotel, a lovely peaceful hideaway with wonderful views down over the village.
The rooms here are sizeable and comfortable, and feature faux frescoes modelled on those of the famous Terraced Houses at Ephesus.
Breakfasts on the outdoor terrace are absolutely tip-top.
Visitors to the hotel will probably be surprised to learn that the hotel has proved controversial with local authorities who have actually threatened to demolish it in the past. As ever, it's a complicated story that revolves around Turkey's often ineffective planning and conservation laws.
Thumbs up: Perfect peace and quiet. Great breakfasts
Thumbs down: Those who don't have a car might find the walk up to the hotel daunting
