The small Angora House up in the Hisar was the first hotel to capitalize on Ankara's Ottoman heritage. It’s still a great place to stay, one of the best in town for those who like to bed down in historic surroundings, although for the time being there is a risk of sime disturbance as the entire Hisar is given a facelift. Once that's over, however, the surroundings will probably be a great deal smarter, if perhaps that little bit less "authentic".
