The first chain hotel to have opened in the historic part of Ankara, just about within walking distance of Ankara Castle (Hisar) and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, the 202-room high-rise Radisson Blu is also right by Ulus Metro station making for easy movement around the city. Gençlik Park, one of the sity's few green spaces, is also nearby.
Standard rooms have cheerful colour schemes and all the comforts you’d expect of the chain, including English-language TVs. The Loca restaurant serves dinner, or there’s the small Kulis snack bar in the lobby. Although the amenities makes this a good hotel for business travellers, the location makes it a better bet for tourists than the Hilton or Sheraton although the immediate surroundings are less appealing.
Thumbs up: Chain hotel within walking distance of historic attractions
Thumbs down: Right beside a busy main road
