Considering that Ankara is the Turish capital its Metro system is pretty inadequate.
There are two main lines: the Ankaray that runs from AŞTİ to Dikimevi; and the Metro that runs from Kızılay to Batıkent.
In 2014 an extension of the Metro to OSB-Törekent opened although this is unlikely to be of much use to tourists.
There is no Metro connection to Ankara airport. Nor is there a stop for Kavaklıdere or Çankaya.
There are no ticket machines in the stations and you can't buy a single ticket either.
Those unfamiliar with the system will also think that there could be more maps of the network and clearer direction indicators.
On the plus side the trams move pretty swiftly.
